Custom-built Bikes

Boston Fixed Gear uses steel frames in all of its new custom built bicycles. Steel frames give a much smoother ride quality compared with cheaper aluminum frames while maintaining a high level of stiffness and performance. Our steel tubing is heat treated to last for many years of service. A quality steel frame is the basis of a great bicycle and we don’t cut any corners.

Our Buchanan Bicycle is made from cro-mo steel, uses a 1 1/8” threadless headset, and features one set of cable stops for fixed or free riding. See Specifications >>
